Purim 2021

The four Mitzvot of Purim

There are four Mitzvot unique to Purim, all in the spirit of remembering the miracle and spreading the joy among our friends and those who need it most (see here for more info from Chabad.org). Some can be arranged ahead of time - and we'd love to help you fulfill them:

1) Give Mishloach Manot (two different ready-to-eat food items) to at least one friend. Click here to purchase a gorgeous basket (or more) through the Hebrew Preparatory School which will be distributed on the day of Purim. Thus, you can fulfill the mitzva beautifully and support Jewish education!

2)  Give Matanot La'evyonim, a minimum gift of charity to at least two poor people. You can give your charity by clicking on this link, and it will be given on your behalf on the day of Purim.

3) Hear the Megillah see below for the schedule of Megillah readings at Chabad.

4) Eat a festive meal on the day of Purim, meaning Friday. Ideally, it should be held before Midday (12:44pm).
